Filed in: Surfboard Questions | On: December 28th, 2007 | Comments: (14) These were given to me by the owner who had them stored on rafters since he stopped surfing 2-3 decades ago. They are pretty NICE. I am going to sell only one. Whichever one brings the most $$. One is a signed Frye and I believe they are both numbered. My friend surfed with Skip in Mexico before his knees gave out. He is an old timer. I was offered 4grand for both of them but believe they are worth more. Anyone have any idea what they’re worth? Posting’s here for anyone interested: http://www.california.surfboardshack.com/jsp/detail_ca.jsp?docid=4768 More Photos

I am getting married and want to give a skip fry to my husband as a wedding present. He might love them as much as me Steve Hedrick, on April 19, 2008 @ 6:43 am |I have a G&S frye that I had restored by Joe Roper in San Diego (I found it in the trash). It’s a blue 8’6″ V-Bottom noserider with dual tapered stringers, knee paddler glass on top, and a two-bolt skeg-box. It’s beautiful and for sale. I originoly wanted to surf the board but have sice found that it belongs in a meuseam. Interested? JM, on December 16, 2008 @ 10:04 am |Hi – A modern 11 footer went for $3650 on eBay recently and a couple of days ago I sold a 10 foot triple stringer for $1880. The two you have are unique and show some vintage soul. They also appear to be in great shape. I’m thinking they’re worth whatever someone will pay but somewhere above $1200 for sure. In Japan? Who knows! Whenever there is an old Skip Frye brand board for sale in a local surf shop or on Craig, they’re usually around $1,000. I can only see one board in the picture and it has the G&S logo. Earlier this month there was a 7’10” Skip Fry G&S swallow tail trying to be sold on Craigs for $500. Is his wing logo on either board?
