I own 3 models “Truth” “Thing” & “Baby D”. I’m stoked about every one of them. My Truth board is insane…specs are exactly how I wanted them. There’s a lot of precision that goes into a Tore shape and I think they’re the best boards I’ve ever ridden. If you’re looking for someone who will take time to listen and make you an insane board, Kent’s your man. fightpants, on January 4, 2007 @ 9:34 pm |I can’t say enough good things about Kent Senatore and Tore Surfboards. Hands down one of the coolest guys I have ever met, and without a doubt, the best boards that I have ever ridden. After I met Kent, and he shaped my first “tore board”, I have never looked back. With Kent’s endless knowledge of board design and waves, to riding styles, and even coaching, he is able to make a board for any level of surfer for any conditions. Currently I have 5 of his custom shapes, all of which he worked closely with me to make the best board for my skills and riding style. My Quiver in order of purchase is the Truth, The Thing, the Baby-D, the Rocket Fish (my favorite!), and the Circa 70. I have ridden all the “Big Names” and bought “off the rack boards” and none of them come close to the quality and the personal attention to detail that Kent brings to the surfing industry. T-unit, on January 11, 2007 @ 12:16 pm |What can i really say about Kent that hasnt allready been commented on? What an outstanding guy. I consider Kent now as a FRIEND instead of just some shaper taking my money. He really worked with me as a intermediate surfer on a board that will help take me to the next level. He listens, recommends, and just overall all about getting you the best board for your buck. This guy is about the sport and the love of surfing, and his boards really reflect it. I had a 6’4 custom shape from em, and i freekin love it. Best board i have ever ridden, and its durable as shit. Havent had any issues with the board whatsoever, and i will be purchasing more frome em to add to my quiv. If you are looking for a personable expierence, and a shaper that knows his shit, Kent is your guy. Thanks bro! -Trev tommy, on January 23, 2007 @ 11:45 am |Everything I want to say has already been said. Kent is a sick shaper design to every expectation you desire. What ever style shape or size right on point. I just got my first Tore board about 2 weeks ago it’s sick. I have orders ready for Kent when he has time to shape more for me. If you need a board Kent is the shaper you need. Not only a shaper but a really good surfer. He is one of the few who take that much time with you and really get to know you adn your surf style. Thanks Kent. Shoots, Tom Kim, on January 23, 2007 @ 3:47 pm |I decided to surprise my husband and get him a custom longboard for Christmas and for his birthday. Found Kent on the web (a VERY nice guy) and explained my situation to him. Kent was able to complete the longboard within TWO weeks. My husband was completely surprised and REALLY loves his longboard. Now my husband is talking about a his and her longboard. Guess who we’ll be calling…KENT!!! Bob, on January 24, 2007 @ 6:26 pm |I first contacted Kent by email and he responded very promptly.A matter of fact this is one of the reasons I choose Kent over other I contacted he responded and they did not. Kent invited me up to his shop to talk over the shape of my board and to answer any questioned I had. It was great to meet Kent. I found Kent was very pleasant and knowledgeable about surfing and shaping. After our meeting I decided to have him shape my new board. I’m really looking forward to riding my new board. I’ll keep you post after my first day out. Scott, on January 26, 2007 @ 12:32 pm |I found kent online when I was looking to have a longboard made. After calling and talking with him he agreed to meet me in town to discuss what I was looking for. Kent asked careful questions to find out a bit more about me and made some really great recommendations for my board. The long board he made for me is absolutly incredible. After I recieved the board I decided to order 2 more from him. I now have a 10′ Baby-D, a 6’2″ Circa 70 (fish) and a 7’2″ retro single. All of the boards were custom to my exact color schemes and I honestly could not be more happy with them. People ask all the time about them since they are such sweet looking boards. I will never get a board from anyone else. Kent is a great shaper and a cool guy to work with. You’ll be stoked if you get one. Great boards, great surfer-shaper relations. Kent knows how to make an awesome board and he knows that in order for him to make the best board for someone, he needs to know about them, how they surf, where they ride, how much experience they have, the whole 9 yards. I am at the same time impressed by work yet amazed by the way he treated me–quite the beginner–as an equal, not being condescending, the advice he gave me was truly from a desire to make me enjoy surfing more, not make another sale. My current board is a Tore, and i’m pretty sure my next ones will be Tore Boards as well.
