It paddles well and and provides great speed down the line. From noseriding to roundhouse cutbacks, this board does it all. Joel, on January 31, 2007 @ 6:37 pm |I have three Kimo Greene boards. Kimo’s attention to detail and craftsmanship has made his boards the best on the island. His boards paddle great and ride like a dream. It feels like your always on the perfect wave. I wouldn’t ride anything else. Charles, on April 15, 2007 @ 10:00 pm |Kimo is a class act, an old school craftsman making boards one at a time. The ulua model he made for me was perfect, and rides like a dream. Louie, on October 16, 2007 @ 2:48 am |Aloha Kimo Im still riding my 10’2 tanker you custom design for me while i lived in Oahu in 1997.I am a 280 pounds big boy from Puerto Rico.My board is 24inch wide double barrell concave and i can turn as hard as any one off the bottom and people jaws drop when they see a big brodah like me rippin.Kimo is a superb Craftman and will go in the shaping room to make a specific surfboard that will enhanced youre surfing ability and will make you even better.I am looking forward for a new board next year and im thinking 9ft.double wing quad swallow fish longboard, how about that.A hui ho my Freind. George, on April 17, 2008 @ 12:45 pm |Kimo Greene is an great shaper and a class act. His custom boards are taylored to you and your needs. His knowledge and experience show. I highly recommend him to anyone thinking of getting a custom board. The Ahi that he shaped for me was awesome. Thanks Kimo! Rob, on May 22, 2008 @ 2:47 pm |Kimo Greene has been shaping boards for me since 2002, and I haven’t broken one yet (came close a couple times) despite big wave wipeouts and getting caught inside. I rode Kimo boards during the ’06 – ’07 HASA season and made it to the finals. Kimo’s boards were the first ones I rode where I could turn my attention to the wave and forget about the board. GoPro Camera Review: Surf Hero, on January 11, 2009 @ 2:51 am |[…] I stuck the GoPro camera base plate on my 9′2 Kimo Greene longboard and surfed in tiny knee high waves in onshore conditions (see video above). Definitely not the most idea conditions for photos/video by any means but I was dying to try the camera out. I got home and downloaded all of the video and I was stoked to see how good the quality of the videos came out. For a tiny little camera that’s reasonably priced ($150), I wasn’t expecting a whole lot in video quality but was impressed for what the GoPro camera could do. I have to say that the video quality is better than my Pentax WP Optio which always turns out cloudy/blurry in the water. […] Billy, on April 28, 2009 @ 12:51 am |Kimo is a classic shaper. Not only does he shape, but he repairs boards that companies wouldn’t have the skill or time required. I have a pretty old Kerry Tokoro, he fixed my nose ding (it will NEVER break after the fix, it’s practically a depleted uranium shovel) and reglassed the deck. It’s restored and I plan on using it as my primary big wave thruster. Thanks again Kimo, mahalo. Jeff, on May 4, 2009 @ 8:01 am |Kimo, Kimo made me three boards for the Mainland and Indo. Kimo Greene surfboards stand the test of time. If you’re looking for something that can catch a ton of waves but still turn on a dime, these boards are for you. They have the best glass job on the island and all my boards have lasted for years with very few pressure dents. With town being so crowded now, you need a good crowd control board and Kimo’s boards do that well.
